Default ICM Heatsoak... Still Good or Replace?

Well im pretty sure my latest issue with the car the icm got heatsoaked on a really hot day and stuck in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic died and once cool would start. Got it running again and then it died 20 mins later. Let it cool and then got it going and finally got me home. Hasnt done it since on two cruises ive been out with it but they have been at night so a bit cooler and no traffic. Im heading to the TA Nats which is a 8hr drive each way. I dont want this happening to me on this drive. So my question is if the ICM got heatsoaked is it still good or should it be replaced? I just did the cooling mod but im kind of on the fence if i should change it out. I have a spare one im going to take down with me just incase but just like to know in advance if it was something i should just do before the fact.

Thanks
