so today i went to start up my 95 formula and it wouldnt turn over. after i looked at a few things i found out the the wires on the oil lever sensor located on the oil pan were broke into half. would that keep my car from starting?

The oil level sensor has nothing to do with starting. If it doesn't turn over start with the battery make sure it has a full charge. Also check if the security light is on on the dash is it is then its the VATS if not check the starter and the ignition switch

If you think its starter, take it to autozone they can test it, but i would make sure your battery is fine first.

Like it was already mentioned have you checked the battery to make sure it has power? That should be your first step does anything on the dash light up when you turn the key on?
