My car is a basic bolt on car in california, Im gonna be installing a tr224 cam soon and wanted a pair of shorties to do at the same time.. are these( BBK 1-3/4 primaries headers) the best shorties out there???

Yes. However officially CARB approval is still "in process". They can be made better with some mods.

I think they went back to 1-5/8", but that might just be me. I'd suggest getting Mids or LT's and then put the stock stuff back on come smog time, but that may be too much work for some people. Also, BBK's dont have CARB numbers, but many smog shops wont check, some will.
