94 caprice stand alone wiring harness
Hi I have a 94 caprice 9C1 LT1 5.7, 4L60E, rear end and suspension that I am putting into a 55 chevy truck. Can the stock 94 caprice wiring harness be modified into a stand alone?

Thanks for the info. The area challenging me is what all the wires which pass through the firewall are for, do, go etc. Most look like 12v power no idea about the others. Lt1swap.com has a great picture of one he modified but I am unable to enlarge the picture enough clearly to figure out how he handled the through firewall wires. He does not have any detailed info on how to handle those wires.
Unfortunately speartech.com don't offer a rework service for the Caprice/Roadmaster factory harnesses and a new one is way to pricy for me.
Still scratching my head

I used the info on that site to make my own stand alone harness for my '77 Volvo 240 using a 93 Z28 harness. If you looks at the list of the "Essential Minimums", there isn't a whole lot to it.
Here is the pinout diagram of the 37 pin connector in the firewall.
Using that and this list:

You should be able to determine what you need as far as the wires going through the fire wall. The rest will be tied to the under hood fuse block.

I am sure all the info I need is on the LT1swap.com site I am overwhelmed with all the info; having a hard time finding first gear.(I am more mechanical then electrical) I included a couple pictures of my 55 chevy truck today finished grafting the 94 caprice 9C1 front clip on (added 1 inch to over all wheelbase) the LT1 5.7 motor and 4L60E trans are in moved motor up 2 inches and back one. Tomorrow before work pulling bed off and figuring out how I want to install the caprice rear end and suspension.
