My car feels slow... I want to up the boose. Questions...
boost*
I just wanna see how many lbs i could get away with before i will start breaking things
details on the car.
LT1
383 fully forged
Ported LT4 heads
11.3:1 compression
E85
BLOW-THRU Carburetor
Front mount turbo
STOCK lt1 camshaft
its currently running 7-8 lbs of boost with the timing locked at 21 deg.
it feels slow. i havent tried giving it more timing yet, as i want to be somewhat safe with it while i am learning how to tune a carburetor.

Its probably the stock lt1 cam with your 383..you should put something better In there! And you running an intercooler or meth injection? Those are things I would start with, then put the pig on a diet... but engines are expensive to break just for hell of it

i have a cam, but i just dont feel like installing it till winter.
no intercooler. it doesnt need one. no meth injection.... doesnt need that either.
BLOW THRU
the car was on a diet, the turbo added back anything i lost

Im not too sure because of your compression,,some people with blow thrus are runnin anywhere from 15 to 24 psi on race gas (i noticed your on e85),but there compression is around 8.5 to 10.1 with 20-24 degrees of total ,, but i think there runnin btm (boost timing retard) boxes also ,, .. call C&S and maybe they can give you an idea ,, i also found this too ..
