Question Anyone used this place for a tranny rebuild?

Just picked up a 98 WS6 that is "missing" fifth gear. He recommended taking it here: http://www.texasdrivetrainperformance.com/t56.html.

Any reviews, good or bad?

You'll probably hear nothing but good about TDP's work.
From what I've seen, Jason doesn't just throw high $ parts at a rebuild. Instead he takes a common sense approach to fix the inherent weaknesses, build it stronger, and keep costs down. Their Diamond clutches are good too.

Yep, if you're in N. Tx, that's the place to go.

Jason does awesome work. He did a stage II rebuild on my transmission. It shifts flawlessly.

I would not trust jason with my life.........JUST KIDDING he is the man when it comes to T-56's, clutches and differential's. I would not take my car anywhere else, unless you like, worse customer service, higher prices or like your car sitting in a shop for a few weeks. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of other reputable shops in DFW but jason specifically does just drivetrains and can have your car done in no time.

Good stuff. This is why I love the internet.

Obviously I'll get the Stage 2 rebuild since the price difference is negligible overall.

Anything else I should consider getting done while I'm in there? I'm new to the T56, so thanks for the help.

Dealt with Jason many times while I lived in Texas. Always happy with the results. He is good at what he does and does things Right.
