LQ4 + LS2 rods and pistons
I have an LQ4 I bought that the other owner has swapped out the stock pistons and rods for LS2's without rebalancing the crank the motor runs strong, never been to the track and pushed hard though do you think I can get away with this for a few dozen runs I pulled a few rod caps and the bearings look good

I did the exact thing you are talking about...
MANY hard runs to north of 6200 rpm pushing my 4200lb Truck.
Oh Yeah, Just passed the 4 year mark and over 40,000 miles. No problems here, except the poor trans has finally given up.

the pistons have floating pins and the rods look thicker than LQ4 from what I understand LS2 and '05 and newer LQ9 have these same rods and pistons I'm going to be turning no more than about 6500rpm
