Exclamation 99 Camaro with LS3 swap and STS 67mm Turbo

99 Camaro with swapped engine and Transmission
Going to install STS kit with 67 Turbo size

Build Info:

LS3 Engine with installed :
Cam cheater
Dual spring .650"
7.400 pushrods
Dual timing chine
SLP pulley
60 lbs injectors

Exhaust system:
TSP headars 1 7/8
TSP Y pipe 3"
Stock catback

Transmission :
TH400 with engine braking Body valv from TCI

The question is:

What the is maximum boost that i can push the engine safley?

Also in future with forged pistons and connecting rods? How far i can boost it safely? maximum reliability for ls3 block?

Not trying to be a jerk but the LS3 flows so well I wouldn't go with anything smaller then a TC76 or TC78 turbo. Your motor needs to be able to flow enough exhaust to make power with boost and the T67 or GT67 is not going to allow that to happen. It's the exhaust side of the turbo that's the issue.

I'm at 8 psi with a 67mm on a LS2 with a cam and victor jr intake and I'm starting to run out of turbo. You need a bigger turbo.

I'd say keep the boost under 9 PSI with low timing and good fuel .

Just so you know, this above is going to be KILLING spool time. Unless you like extreme lag till 6000rpms, id switch back to stock manifolds and a lot smaller ypipe to get the most back pressure possible. Everything that you think is good for an N/A motor, its the exact opposite for a turbo. Good luck with the build.

do your home work on your sts sytem so you can mod it to not blow up your engine like me any everyone else. turbo is too small. System has no pcv youll blow your dipstick out every time. ect. youll need beaded pipe is you start running higher boost. good luck
