Question Got a th350 ?

I have a th350 that is hooked up to my ls-1, in my rock crawler buggy...the trans bell housing has a 1" crack in it...is it possible to v the crack out some and TIG weld it??? or should i get a "K" case and have all the internals swapped before i start the motor for the first time?

Just want it to be reliable for awhile...

Guys weld cases all the time and I have had a few done over the years myself. I think you will be fine with doing this. I do like the 4x4 cases for an application like yours. However they are hard to come by and are usually expensive when I have had to price them in the past. Good luck with your project. Vince
