Default Clayed, Polished, and Waxed car today (black content)

My Dad and I took on removing the overspray and swirls on my black camaro today. The results were great! Products used were a mothers clay bar kit, s2 cyclos for the all machine work, poorboys SSR3 on orange pads, followed by megs swirl-x on green pads, then poorboys blackhole on white pad, and finally poorboys nattys blue paste wax by hand. I never gave the meguiars swirl-x much thought before, but it did a much better job than the poorboys ssr2.5 and 1 I had. Goes on so easy and works great. We used the ssr3 compound on a quarter panel that I had painted because it was very dull, and on the top surfaces as well. Pretty well all the swirls are gone and am very pleased with the outcome.

Here are some pics. Don't have any of the other side but it looks the same

Great work, the car looks awesome and has a great stance! It doesn't seem like it was too bad off before the work, but do you have any before pics for comparison?

Thanks for the compliments! No pics of before but wish I would have! It wasn't in terrible shape, but it had a few swirls and scratches. The overspray is what was bothering me. I had the quarter panel repainted because of a slight dent/scratch through the clear, and the shop that did it didn't do a very good job covering the car. Not all but parts of the car had a real hazy look that seemed to attract all the dirt and made the paint look like it actually was in bad shape.

Not sure it was on the car when I bought it. I thought I was told it was an OEM one but I could have heard wrong. Why do you ask? The fit isn't perfect but its not that bad either.

It looks like the aftermarket SS spoiler "thespoilercompany" sells.

I can tell by the 3 shiny screws sticking out like a sore thumb on the 3rd brake light.

Purchased an SS spoiler from them too.

Nice job. Glad you understand it's about the process more than the product.

The Poorboys polishes are very outdated compared to todays products. But you did a good job and the car looks phenomenal. Too bad it was overcast huh?

Eibach sportlines on the front and Hotchkis springs in the back. Wheels are 18x9.5 with 265/40 and 18x10.5 with 295/35. Offset I believe is 57mm front, 58mm rear.

Yeah not the greatest day to show off the paint. The sun popped out a few times but for the most part it was a crappy day for picture taking.
