Default nitrous popping

was out at the hill this weekend and made a few passes on the juice. got some intermittent popping so i pulled the plugs and they looked clean strap looked heated a little lower than the curve and couldnt tell what/where the soot looked like. (to damn dark out there) i checked the gap on one plug today and it was at like .45 do you guys think thats where my problem is? i know they should be at .35 but i dont wanna run it again without some sound advice.

Im new to the nitrous game so dont take my word for **** lol, but imo it sounds like the spark might be getting blown out due to the gap being too big. If it were me I would def bring the gap down to where it should be to start. How big of a shot are you running and what plug?
