Default took out another 2v stang

both cars had one passenger, his car has some bolt ons, my mods in sig. went from a 10 roll (two lane merge ramp onto the interstate) and I instantly pulled spinning in 1st, finally hooked 2nd and got out at 110 with multiple car lenghts. it seems these are the only cars i ever find to run when i'm in the mood oh well one more the t/a

A friend or just a random encounter? He say anything after the race?

We'll teach you how to tell a proper kill story

I've still yet to run into a well running 2V. Sadly with my car being sold here soon, I won't get the chance to anytime soon either.

Because the 2V was supposed to be the upgrade to your 95's motor?

So much for that lol

Well atleast the block doesn't split down the middle when it starts to make respectable power.

They are out there, but very few and far between. I think most people get to the end of the bolt-on phase and then realize that they would rather have a Mach 1 or Cobra, so they sell and upgrade.

There have been a few respectable 2V cars around here. My buddy had a 2000 Saleen that he put twin turbos on. With the stock motor it put down 416/430. Then he built the motor, but was never happy with it since it never made more than around 530 rwhp, so he ended up selling it.

There was another turbo GT that was in the 420-430 rwhp range on the stock motor. I only met him once though and haven't seen or heard anything about the car in a couple years.

Also, there's a guy my friend knows with a 2004 GT (Roush look alike) who had a 5.0 stoker with a centri blower that was making like 540 on pump and 580 on race gas. He ended up swapping the blower for a Kenne Bell and made the same power, but a ton more torque. He always seemed pretty happy with the car, and last I knew it's still prowling around the area here and there.

Honestly, I've always wanted to pick up a 1996-98 GT and build a nice sleeper. In a car like that it wouldn't take 600 hp to impress people. A nice head/cam swap, some bolt-ons, and a blower would shock the hell out of most people since those cars are such turds stock. Hell, I raced one once that was pretty much stock except for a centri blower and he was only making 280-290 rwhp

the ones i have ran are all basic bolt-on/exhaust deals; not very exciting. the 3 valve that wanted to mess with me wasn't much better. and any other car that i would like to run happens to fly by me in my sonoma lol.

I rode in a 96-98 with basic bolt ons, 4.10s, and a 100 shot. At the time the only thing that I knew that was "fast" was my bolt on 4.10ed 99 Cobra. Anyways the 96-98 left the impression "That's it?" in my mind. I also remember this guy going through a complete bottle of nitrous purging his kit at the beach along the strip @ Mustang week. Lulz

Infact this was at the first ever Mustang Week. I believe it was 2002. Wow, doesn't seem like that was 9 years ago.

There is a ******* 4 eyed beat to **** fox body in town that likes to purge his **** every time he:

a) starts the car
b) before he kills the car
c) comes to a stoplight
d) rolls through a lot full of people

If people are hanging in a parking lot he will follow them out riding their *** purging. He always thinks he's going to pick on bolt on 3vs and ls1 cars but comes back, pops his hood, and tries to find "what's wrong" with his slow piece of ****...starting, killing, revving, looking with a flashlight, etc.

We nicknamed him Sir Purgealot.

That's great. I never even got a purge for the kit on my Z28. I know why it's a good idea to have one, but I'd feel like such a tool bag doing it before a race. I'd end up purging the system before I left home, just so I wouldn't have to do it in front of people.

I nearly spit coffee on my desk. That is EXACTLY what they did.

His little 14ish year old brother would watch under the hood with the flashlight and he would rev the snot out of it. Then they would go for a drive (purging on the way out) then come back and repeat. Then go home and come back next week.
