Default Cam Swap Dowels....

Could i improvise and use a straightened hangar as a dowel....any other creative homemade remadies?

Do you honestly think that straighten hanger will prevent those lifters from falling into the engine?

wont the hanger have something to rest on inside the block though....

The hangers aren't thick enough. I used two copper lines from the local part store. Cut em 21 inches, stuck them thru and it worked fine

Just go to any fabric shop...Joann's, rediarts, or whatever you have nearby (home depot/lowes might even have them). Pick up some wooden 5/16" dowl rods, cut them about 3-4 inches longer than the cam and sharpen one end of both of them so it looks like a big pencil (not to sharp that the end will break in the engine though)

Stick those in and you're good to go, might cost you $1 or 2
