Default LS7 for boost w/good internals, would the material between the cylinder be the issue?

I am trying to find out if an LS7 block would be a good candidate for boost with good internals? I know GM used the 6.2 block just for that reason but GM has to look for longevity, I'm trying to go racing.

I posted this in the Gen IV internal section too.

How much boost? The cylinder are pretty weak and brittle on the stock LS7's. You would be better off with a resleeved LS7 or a 6.2L block. I have a 6.2L LSA and LS9 block, these have stronger main caps and oil squirters to keep the pistons cool. PM me if you are interested. Thanks Dave

I've always heard and read that the LS7 block was really at it's max from the factory as far as cylinder wall thickness. Do you already have one, or are you looking at boosting a big cube motor?
