Default question about tuning after cam

im going to buy the TR 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA cam and i know after cam you need tuning my question is after the install ( will be doing labor myself) will i be able to drive it to a place where it can be tuned, nearest place for tune is like about 10 miles away i think. (live in jax)

also im getting the tr cam package with the dual springs, rods, retatiners and valve seals is there anythings else i need that is recommended

You'll be fine. I drove a 231/237 without it being tuned for 100mi to get tuned. no problems

You'll be fine to drive for only 10 miles. Depending on how many miles are on your motor, you may want to replace lifters, oil pump and timing chain.

well i already have an oil pump and a ls2 timing chain waiting to go in at time of install. looks like ill be all set

It may not idle as smoothly as you would like it to but if the install is right it would be fine. Dont get into any races or anything though.
