Default Couple races in the viper

Viper 500 to the wheels and 545 tq and 3300 pounds

Vs

90s bmw and turboed... Unknown power
2008 evo at 400 awhp
2011 gtr.... Factory stock

Bwm put up a good fight from sixty to ninety and it was door to door. then from 90 to 120 I put 3 cars on him

Evo surprised the **** outta me.... Raced twice and I only beat him by a few lengths... SAndgabbin his power perhaps?

As for the gtr... Never has a car been so fucken hyped... But it deserves it! I am now a believer. The gtr's are for real. The I'm talking L Jackson real.

We raced a few times and the gtr kept saying "say WHAT again mother ******"

Truly impressive even in stock form...

Vids shortly

In my eyes, the gtrs transmission is why its so magical to everyone. No one can shift as fast as it, not even ju1ce, so unless your up on power there is no chance to catch it. Every vid I've of them going door to door with something results in the gtr pulling 1/8~1/4 car length every time the other cars changes gear.

Can't wait to see the video..

I have bunch friends with evo's.. WIth 400whp they are pretty fast. The AWD helps a lot. Plus they weigh about same as you stock. Lone if they start dropping weight. They also have a better top end then the STI's. But to actually beat you I am thinking he would need least 450whp or least to stay even. 500whp I think he would take you.

GTR what esle can be said. There gearing/tranny/AWD help them be so fast. For its weight and power it really should not as fast as they are.

Nice runs killemall, hadn't heard out of you in a while. Glad to see you back getting in some good runs. How can anyone say the gtr is overrated when referring to them in straight line acceleration? Last I checked the gt-r's were built for road courses primarily, they just happen to be pretty damn quick in the 1/4 too.

Yes AWD will help from a roll also. Wheel spin kills most RWD and FWD cars. The AWD don't have it. Less they are pushing huge huge power. Or are on the cheapest tires. A low roll and high in the RPMS RWD can still have a lot of wheel spin if it hasd the power. And 500whp and 3300lbs I would guess he could have some if in 1st and not on drag radials.

OK here ya go.. Night so it SUCKS..

GTR from a 65 roll like our first race was an easy meal for the snake..... But in the second and third vid from 35 mph rolls the stock gtr put up an hell of a fight.

Evo go beat no problem its just that I was expecting to rape it instead of just a beat down..

No vids of the bmw

By the way added some cheesy slow motion at the end for the bench racers who wanna analyze this **** instead of letting it be what it is... Enjoy

AWD is nice at the strip too. I can run 12's in my car with the all season run flats that came with the car. Hell my T/A on a base tune with 5lbs of boost spins the tires from a roll. I'm on crap nt555's though

Also the EVo is a X...Not *** fast cause they are heavier then the priors. Still kinda quick cars.

every viper video I see seems like no-one shifts them fast. Are they just super hard to shift or what?

are you starting in first gear? seems like you losing a ton of time right there.. on the gas for 1/2 a sec then shifting. i would think/hope a 8.3 liter engine would have a powerband usable in 2nd gear at that speed.. seems like you would have pulled harded just starting in 2nd.

YEA started around 35 in first then shifting to second around 60 mph... GTR is beastly in that range. I went to the gtr forum and all the 09-11 guys are running 11.5-11. 9 stock at 116 to 121 mph. Tclicking off o-60 in 3.5 all day.

The 12 is running 3.0 all day and 11.2 at 121-125 mph.

Very serious car

Old, assuming everything is working correctly I think the 9 was the fastest off all of them stock, the 8 didn't have mivec (variable valve timing) which caused it to spool much slower, and the 10 is heavier.

What's different parts wise between the 12's and earlier gtr's? If all it were is a tune then that would be kinda awesome. Just buy a *gently* used gtr and flash it with a Cobb ap. Nicey nice!!
