Trans Fluid Observation I got my '02 LE a few months ago. My third, 3rd gen f-body. First thing I did was change all the fluids. Of interest, I used MobilOne ATF in the M6 as I was under the impression that the blocker ring issue was resolved by this year and synthetic was not a problem.
Over less than a 1,000 miles, I started having issues shifting 4-5 and 6-5, wound buzz/grind occasionally. Then 2-3 started becoming an issue.
Before thinking the worst, I decided to dump the M1 ATF and put in fresh Dexron III. All of my problems went away. Shifts perfectly up and down through all gears. Has been about 500 miles since so fairly sure this solved the problem.
In case someone runs into the same issue, a cheap first try to fix this issue.

Its a topic that will always end in argument but right after I had my trans rebuilt i ran dex 3. Wanted to run Mobil so got some and experienced similar issues. Switched back no problems... Dont know why these like or dislike it but oh well you go with what works..
