Default undercarriage finishing??

I'm seeking some finishing advice for my 68 camaro which has new welded-in/unpainted floor pans. Some of the existing undercarriage still has remnants of urethane/rubberized coating. Is it best to strip down that coating and start from bare metal? Common sense dictates that POR15 will not adhere to urethane. What is the best way to
remove existing undercoating? Sandblast/grinder??? Thanks...

Sand blasting. Did you buy the cleaner and primer with the POR15. works great. But the best way to go is get or use a rowtisory(sp) that flips the car side to side. Then flip it upside down and work on it like a table top! Sand blast, melt premer then paint or undercoat!

Yes, I've used POR15 and etcher/primer on an 84' Thunderbird, and I don't recall there even being a hint of rust..even after 17 years. It IS great stuff! Thanks for the direction my friend.
