Default cam?

i have an 01 camaro ss ls1, i have long tubes, off road y, cold air, t56 tranny, lookin for advice on a cam that hits hard but still good daily, i was thinkin the gm hot cam, any tips?

I agree with CustomX on this one. The GM hot cam does hit pretty hard but it picks up almost no power. Something like the torquer v.3 would hit real hard and still have a broad powerband because it doesn't have a ton of duration to it. We usually see an average of 40-50rwhp pick up with that cam as long as you have the right bolt ons.

My car made 390rwhp thru an a4 it pulls hard on the top end (harder then my old f13) but still has great everyday drive ability. I couldn't be any happier with an off the shelf cam.

Check out Thunderracing's TruTorque cams. I am going to go with the Level 2 cam, but maybe the level 3 will work well for you. Honestly, give them a call. Best decision I made since deciding to get a cam. I spoke with Shane who is their head technician and he was a HUGE help and found me exactly what I was looking for.

...No, I don't work for Thunderracing lol.
