need help getting started with hp tuners
hey guys i need some help, i bought hp tuners from a buddy alittle over a year ago and never used it. now i want to use it and retune my car for nitrous, my car was tuned using this exact hp tuner but when i try to install hp tuners using the cd i got with everything else it wont let me instal it. it gives me a werid message saying:
VCM Suite 2 requires the .NET Framework version 1.1. Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again. Information on how to obtain the .NET Framework can be found on your customer login page. The .NET Framework is also located on the original VCM Suite 2 installation CD.
does this mean i'm missing the original program and this cd is just an update cd? i don't know but i'm confused. any help would be appreciated!
thanks

are you trying to run the serial version on windows 7? you need to get "easy msi editor" and remove the framework check, there's a thread on hptuners site explaining it
If you can't figure it out I can send you the modified installer file

just for future readers of this thread this is what I did to run serial hptuners on windows 7:
1. download "easy msi editor" and follow instructions as per hptuners writeup
2. run in compatibility mode for windows xp sp3
3. new dynex usb to serial adapter using prolific driver (although it may find it on it's own)
