Default Crankshaft Help?

I bought a used LQ4 with spun bearings and need to replace the crank..I keep seeing advertisements for "Wide Flange" Crankshaft..Can anybody educate me on what this is and if it’s not good for me, what can I use?

The early 6.0 when used in a 2500 or 3500 had a spacer or wider flange crank when using the 4L80E trans. The smaller flange is more common and all aftermarket SFI flywheels will be for the narrow style.

So if I plan on using a 4l80e in the future I should purchase this wide flange crank or it’s not necessary?

I would stay away from that crank, it will limit your choices of flexplates.
