Any good rear brake upgrades not drag specific?

Any good rear brake upgrades not drag specific? well its come time to replace the rear calipers, new rotors and pads and it is hard to make them do much (hydro ebrake) bleeding is a pita, and one side wont even push fluid out with the bleeder cracked
so my options are either buy new calipers for ~$150
or
switch to another style
ive already done the C5 front upgrade which is awesome, is there anything that will fit the rear without an extraordinary amount of fab? Ive read that the ctsv seems to be a lost cause, just curious if there is something else out there that will give me a good lock when i pull the hydro?
