Default 4l80E converter on 6L90 flexplate

Have a '98 4l80E behind a 403 Olds right now in a '71 Cutlass, picked up a '07 LY6 to put in front of it. The LY6 had a 6L90 (or 80) behind it and came with the 3 bolt flexplate

Will the 6-bolt 4l80E converter bolt & space up to the 6L90 flexplate? I have the flexplate spacer / TQ hub support and bolts from a 6.0/4L80E combo to support the TQ snout if needed.

This is a driver that will never see a track or any power adders. Using a stock 4.3 V6 80E converter.

I doubt it. I am not familiar with the flexplate of a 4L80. However, I know that the 6L80/90 torque converter are designed to fit the smaller 4L70 style flexplate.

I did the same thing 4l80e behind and LY6 that had a 6l90e flexplate originally. Had to order gm part number 12621399 which is the correct flexplate, spacer and 6 bolts in a kit.

Apparently GM is no longer offering this as a kit though so people now need to order the parts separately
Spacer - 12563532
Bolts - 19257940
Flexplate - 12621399
