Default Need some advice/recommendations

Hey,

I am not to familiar with the building and modding of LSx motors. I have just recently got out of the 4 cylinder turbo set-ups and opted for a LS6 block to drop into my drift car. So I have a few questions regarding parts and different options I have been looking at.

Parts I have picked up:
eagle 6.125 rods
Custom Diamond racing pistons 3.905 bore
Arp head studs
Arp main studs

My Goals:
Rev happy (drifting requires high revs)
450-500hp and lots of tq.
strong and reliable

I have been doing lots of reading and research but there are so many options it is hard to decide which is best. I have been looking at used 243 heads for $400 and getting them ported for $350-$400, I also want to upgrade the rockers, valves, springs and retainers. So is it worth it to get 243 heads done and outfit them with aftermarket parts or should I purchase a combo kit from patriot? $1335 seems close to my price when I am done with my 243 heads anyways.

Last but not least what is a good cam shaft choice if I go with either head selection that will increase the torque and make the engine preform well at high rpms.

thanks alot!

I have a few more questions but I don't want to clutter up a thread and not get any answers at all....
