Running 5.3L truck engine with LS1 intake and 5.7 injectors
I know all of the parts basically interchange mechanically. What I',m wondering is whether the LS1 intake and 5.7 injectors can be run on a 5.3 with a (for the most part) stock 5.3L tune in the PCM. The engine displacements are very close.....
Has anyone tried it?

Which MAF are you going to run?
Among other things, tune will have to be updated for the LS1 injector constant.

You can run the truck flex fuel injectors on an LS1 intake without changes. You just need an aftermarket fuel rail ($99 on ebay). The LS1 fuel rail wont reach the shorter truck injectors. Or you could use the truck fuel rails. Earlier truck injectors will work too, you just need to remove the plastic tips.

I have a 2000 truck 5.3 I want to swap the intake out on. You are saying that I can put my truck fuel rails and injectors in the LS1 intake. I just have to remove a plastic tip? I haven't pulled my injectors out yet, and I have never seen any out of a truck intake. with that being said, is it easy to tell what I need to remove?

So all I would have to do to use the flex fuel truck injectors part #12613411 on a LS1 intake is after market fuel rails like in the picture?
LS1 injectors are 60mm and truck are 48mm. Correct me if I am wrong.
The main thing I am wondering is how are the rails mounted to accommodate the height difference of the LS1 injectors vs the truck? Cut or trim the intake at all or custom mounting brackets for the fuel rails?
Thanks

Are those $99 eBay rails any good? Are the an adapters o-ring or pipe thread? I am building an Ultra4 car and another U4 racer had his rig burn to the ground a few years ago because he ran cheap fuel rails that were npt on the ends, and one of them cracked around the an adapter.
Normally cheap parts scare me and fuel systems are one of those areas where i prefer to spend more money on good stuff and worry about paying for it later on, but if these rails are as good as the FAST or Aeromotive fuel rails they might be worth a shot.

They're ok, no leaks. But yeah they are NPT and I could see how cranking one down too hard could crack it. I would definitely upgrade if I needed new ones.

I put the LS1 intake rails and injectors right on my 4.8. It started and ran fine for a few months before I changed the injectors and put the turbos on. I bought EV1 connectors for $17 (for all 8) and put them in the harness. Very painless.

i understand this is old like stated above. i am going to be swapping in a 5.3 from a 2010 silverado. my ls1 stuff is going on it. intake etc. i understand the cam sensor is now in the front timing cover and the cam gear might be different. i want to use my 3 bolt cam from my ls1.
i have been searching for a while now still looking to find the adapter harness for the cam and crank sensors so they will work with my stock harness. also the adapters/extensions for the knock sensors that are now relocated to the side of the motor. i found them somewhere on here but cant find it again
any help is appreciated. i will continue to search in the mean time
