so I bought the GM Performance Parts LS Muscle Car Oil Pan Kit pn#19212593 from gm parts direct. bought a oil filter for a 99 TA (engine donor) and that was the wrong filter. the threaded hole on the filter was smaller than the threaded part on the pan. so I went an looked at the oil filter for the Hummer H2 cause I think the muscle car pan is pretty much a H2 pan, that is the same filter as the LS1.... anyone know what the right filter for my pan is???? I was all pumped about putting oil in it today, I'm ready to test fire the motor for the first time but can't without the right filter...it's always something...

You need a PF48, GM changed the threads on the filters to metric some time around 2002 or so thats why the 99 F-Body filter wont work, its not metric.

The Muscle Car pan is an H3 Hummer pan.

You got two options.

1) Use the correct filter for the later pans (metric) as stated above...(PF48E)
or
2) Order from a dealer PN #12552357, which is the threaded adapter fitting for the early threaded filters. (PF46E)

IVe got the same pan, just get a filter for an 07 Silverado
