WTB: LS1 Forged Parts
I want to forge my LS1 I have and possibly bore it over .03-.04 if I can without it being to thinned out.
If anyone has good condition parts for sale, I might consider buying used for what I can.
I heard you can forge the stock cubes for pretty cheap compared to stroking it to a 383 and up. I was told some have done so for around $800.00 give or take. That's pretty good price and plenty for wanting to handle any turbo boost and or nitrous I put through it.
If you know of any new kits, brands to look for, brands to stay away from please let me know. All information is welcome and appreciated so I can get this built over the winter.
I am looking for parts and kits now, I heard Eagle is a good brand to go with. I'm trying to build a strong motor for the least amount of money spent as possible.
Thanks

I have found this:

I'm guessing the .03-.04 bore would make me about a 6.0L?

If there is anything that should be done to the 5.7 to make it comparable to the 6.0 anyway besides bore, please let me know anyone. Thanks. I'm not aware of all the tips, tricks, updates that should and could be done.

Ok so I heard the stock bottom end of a LS1 is good for nearly 1000HP. I think all I need to get is some good rods and pistons as I have bigger heads I'm getting ported and Fast 92 setup that will be ported. Heads are Trick flow 215cc built already. Depending on cost of turbo build that I can do my self, will determine my compression ratio and if I keep my big custom grind cam or going to a turbo cam.
