Default question about garrett 76mm

Hey guys,
Quick question I bought a used turbo and now I am wondering if it will be suitable for my build. I wanted to see if any of yall have reached that much with it or one similar to it.
My Goal is 700-800 hp with a forged 370.

Garrett 76 mm Detroit Diesel
A/R 1.01

I believe its ball bearing.

The guy I bought from said that it was pushing 700+

Any insight would be awesome. Thanks

If it's from a diesel application I'd be really surprised that it's a BB center section.

DDC units were not ball bearing.

Well I took it to one of the turbo Shops around here and they told me that they couldnt tell if its a BB, unless they tore it apart.

But lets say it's not a bb turbo, am I still dreaming about 700-800 hp? should I just sell and buy a different one.

Take the cold and hot side housings off and measure the wheels. That will tell you what it's capable of.

Sounds like it's a Gt4202 basically. It should be able to do what you want to do.
