Procharger Fuel Management Unit Question
I am about to Procharge my 1998 Trans Am. I bought a used kit that did not include the injectors, fuel pump, or hand held programmer. I will be installing 60 lb/hr injectors (for possible future boost increases) and a Racetronix 255 lph pump and their wiring harness upgrade. I will also be tuning with HP tuners. Since I'm going to be tuning with HP Tuners and will be able to adjust for the larger fuel injectors and fine tune the AFR (running a wide band O2) I don't need the FMU right? Looks to me like the FMU was designed to work with the hand held programmer. Thanks for any input.

The FMU is for those who are keeping the stock injectors and are not getting a tune done. Basically it raises the fuel pressure to richen up the air/fuel mixture, but it cannot retard timing. I recommend the larger injectors, fuel pump and getting tune as you are doing, so no, you don't need the FMU. Bob
