Default MS3 cam parts help....

Planning on putting the MS3 in my car this winter along with the ported pump and LS2 chain....my question is do I NEED to have new lifters and rocker arms as well? My car does have 100k miles on it....Just wondering if it is necessary for me to upgrade those as well.

rocker arms are not really necessary since your car doesn't really have a lot of miles, but I would suggest upgrading to some ls7 lifters when you install the cam. Are you upgrading the springs and as well?

its not absolutely necessary, but you can either do that, or the trunion upgrade. But to answer your question stock lifters work

I would recommend sticking with the stock rocker arms and going with the trunion upgrade kit. Depending on mileage and condition of your engine lifters are definitely not a bad idea to replace.

Of coarse lifters are recommended but you don't have too. Ive helped a few people cam a car with over 100k miles on it with out replacing the lifters or the oil pump etc and they havent had any long term effects. The stock cam should give you an idea on what your working with when you remove it. Ive made the mistake of cheaping out doing it the inexpensive way ( F13 cam after 15k+ miles 1 damaged lobe and lifter, didnt check valve springs) just replaced the cam and the one lifter (got lucky and didnt have to remove heads) and sure enough a few months later a few other lifters failed. If you have the time knowledge and money do it
