ls3 camaro "non lid" intake?

Anyone here with an ls3 swapped camaro run a "non lid" style intake?? Any benefits?

Usually turns in a intake system will yield less benefits than a straight shot intake. Also those will be sucking in more hot air from the engine bay, so no real benefits of doing anything else.
