Default Destroyed Rear End

Anybody ever seen a ring and pinion get so messed up? I was cruising along at 75 when there was a huge CLUNK and this was the result It's all fixed now Something must have came loose and gone between the gears and f*%$ed it all up

Hmm.. I wonder if I can top that. I broke my 10 bolt a month ago, but still haven't gotten around to fixing it. Nice avatar, btw.

man that sucks, glad to hear its fixed now.
My friend tried launching his dads 69 chevelle in front of my house to show off early last summer and busted alot of the teeth off the ring gear. sounded awful, and looked awfull after taking the Diff cover off and seeing all those broken teeth sprinkle down.

haha thanks man...good luck on the fix. Yea we were just pulling chunks of mangled metal out of there when the cover came off. I wish I had money to drop on a 12 bolt or 9 inch because it sucks spending money on fixing something that is just going to break again...life of a college student

I had the same rear in my first car a '99 blazer and cracked the pinion right in half. Wheel hop will do that.

looks about normal for a 10 bolt... they're absolute junk, mine started makin some noise so im savin up for a s60
