The C5 converters are what we call a 4L60 LT style. So they will fit a 4L60 behind a LT motor. GM changed over to the LS style in the 2005 C6, although it was a special bolt pattern. Then went 6 Speed 6L80 in 2006.

So chris, what you are saying is an LS1/6 C5 converter will bolt up to an LT1 F-body? What about and LT1 C4?

The Corvette C5 converter is the same used all the way back to the 700 R4, when they went to the 30 spline version. They have done a few updates along the way - clutch material, damper upgrades, bearing upgrades and furnace brazing. But they are interchangeable.
