Help using Crank Trigger with LS3 and XFI
Hi guys, I have a procharged LS3 and the reluctor wheel was spinning on the crank so I switched it over to an MSD flying magnet crank trigger. I just cant seem to get it right, I'm using a FAST xfi and xim.
Heres what I did:
I set the dip switches and rewired the xim ignition pins for a crank trigger with LS3 coils and changed the cam gear to a 1x gear. I also set the trigger up for 50 BTDC and put 50 as the crank reference angle in the tune.
When I crank it, it a timing light reads 120 degrees for cyl #1. The cam sync reads about 67 degrees BTDC.
I checked the location of the cam sensor input and it's at 70 degrees BTDC for cyl #1.
All the correct lights are flashing on the xim/xfi.
Engine wont start with timing at 120 deg.
Am I missing something??
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
