Default FAST Intake-Paint Question

I have a FAST intake on my bird. When I bought it, preivous owner had painted it Black.

I am removing it this winter to re&re a new oil PSi switch. I would like to restore its factory gray colour.

How should I safely remove the black paint off the intake once removed from vehicle?

Gross.

But to answer your question, good luck getting paint out of all the nooks and crannies. Finding something to strip the paint without eating the plastic isn't going to be easy. And that's if it's rattle canned...don't even want to think about removing professional grade paint from one.

You're almost better off just buying a can of gray primer and repainting it with that for that "unfinished" factory look.

Or just trade it to somebody that has one that isn't painted and wants a painted one. That shouldn't be too hard of a deal to come upon

If I were you I would get some paint pens for the logo either body color, white, or whatever accent color is present elsewhere on your car and paint the logo with those. It will look way nicer than stock or being all black.
