Default will i need 2 fly cut my pistons?

I picked up a 05 lq4 block stock. Thinkin of putting my 234/246 601/606 cam in there. If I leave the stock 317's in there will I need 2 cut the pistons? And what about if I switch to 243/799 heads?

are you planning to have the 243/799s milled any?

I've heard it's a possibility. I'm in a similar situation. It will be a while before I can give you a definite yes or no on my setup requiring it tho. saving for heads now.

my cam is a 233/239 114LSA.

You will be ok. Iron motors have a positive deck height usually. The #243/799 stuff will work fine also, but if any milling is done, PTV will need to be checked.
