M6 console in an a4 car
Hello,
I was thinking about installing a b&m hammer shifter in my a4. What I was wondering is, that I will have to cut the stock console to make the shifter fit and I think it would probobly come out pretty crappy If I were to cut. My question is, will an M6 console fit in place of my a4 console this way I won't have to cut anything and the inside will not look like I did a crappy job of cutting it?
Thanks,
John

hey let me know how it all comes out, I want to put a quarter stick in my car for looks. I believe you will have to "engineer" a solution to make it work but it can be done somehow..

Here is a couple pics of the hammer in my car, I wanted to do a quarter stick but I couldnt figure out a way to do the boot and still get to the the reverse lockout lever and make it look nice. I didnt think I would like the hammer (plenty of experience with cheesy B&M ratchet shifters over the years) but so far it works really well and looks good in the car. One of these days I'll probably swap the big polished handle for an aluminum ball though and save a pound
