Rough engine idling question
I just had a LS3 418 CI Stroker motor installed in my 00 Camaro-All forged Steel internals etc. It was tuned on a dyno at the builder's shop in Texas. The car is not being driven now b/c it still needs to be finished- body etc.
My question;when I initially start up the car it idles very low and irratic when i put in drive (it's an automatic) it sometimes stalls out.
Cam specs- Comp Cams XHP custom cam.
Duration @.050 238/246
Lift .624/.624
LSA 115
But after letting it run awhile the idle smooths out to around 800 rpm and no issues. (?) seems like Cam surge if that is the correct term. Or is the computer trying to relearn the engine ( I dunno-just guessing). I thought a dyno tune is supposed to prevent this????
Any information would be appreciated-I'm thinking of sending the computer back to builder to be reflashed.
THANKS TO ALL IN ADVANCE
