would custom intake hole in bumber help at all?
want to make a custom intake for my truck 1500 with ls1, wondering if i cut the hole in my bumper would the air rushing through that hole help the engine get more air or hp at all? and how would i keep moisture out when it rained?

Ram air systems have proven to work on LS1 cars. Cutting a hole in your bumper wouldn't quite qualify as ram air though, you would need to seal it off some how. For the 4th gen LS cars the lid is sealed to the ram air box to get a good positive pressure... Depending on your intake is set up you may be able to do something similar.

I think a lot of truck guys just buy a new intake pipe and cut out the bottom of the stock airbox. At the very top of the screen there is a tab that will take you to performancetrucks.net and you can find truck cold air setups there. Same log in info works over there as it does here.
