Default l33 or ls1

what are the benefits of using an l33 for boost over my existing ls1, are the liners in an l33 thicker or is all about the piston design?

Not sure about pistons, but the 243/799 heads are better on the L33. Stock c/r is 9.9:1 for the L33. I would think the cylinder walls would be a little stronger, but don't know that for a fact.

Yup, the cylinder walls are way thicker on the L33 vs. the LS1. Also, the L33 apparently has stronger rods. The LS stock shortblock world record was set by Skinnies with a stock shortblock and stock heads. The L33 also uses flat top pistons which helps.

cant go wrong with the l33...cheaper.., better rods, good ls6 heads, HD timing chain, flat tops.
