Hey guys i have made the move to get me a 408 i have it now. its ready for boost i really want to make big power this year. im shooting for 900 plus to the tire with a 4l80. I bought me a turbo that was thought to be a gt47-85 but come to find out it was not. GT55-91 if you have the extra $$$ laying around, if not then the S91 or the GT9197 which has the larger turbine wheel.

Great unit indeed, but for a 408, a 91mm is a better fit. Large cubic inch motors like compressor wheel sizes in that range.

It will be considerably laggier then the other mentioned units. For a street car they are not the best performers.

I like that 9197 garret you mentioned. It's a great turbo.

They are a great turbo indeed. We haven't had them out long, but the ones out there are making awesome power.

With a goal of only 900 rwhp, an expensive 88 wouldn't handle it? Not much room for improvement but wouldn't it be efficient at that level?

Once again those are thumper units. Lag will be an issue with those beasts.
