Default 4l60e shifter help

Hello,

I have a 65 impala with a floor shifter (console). Put a LS1/4l60e in it.

I was wondering what people use for floor shifters for these cars?

Did any of the camaros or f-bodies use console shifters with cables?

I managed to get a jeep fuel pedal to work fine, just trying to figure out a junkyard simple fix instead of a $400 B&M.

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Contact Shiftworks. They make kits to retrofit your factory shifter to work with modern transmissions. I put one of their kits on my OEM powerglide shifter in my 65 Corvette with a 4L trans. You drill out the rivets that hold the detent on, and replace with the detent that they supply in their kit, The kit also includes a new position indicator that has all the gears shown in their proper place. People really do a double-take when they see my stock shifter with the 4L gear indicator on it!
