Paint for Roll Cage?
I'll need to paint my roll cage in a few weeks. I know alot of people use spray paint and it looks fine, but I figured since I have the air tools I could buy a cheap spray gun and lay a few coats down of something nicer. Could anybody tell me what type of paint/primer to use? It will be a glossy black.

Well you paint it with the headliner out and have like an inch from it and the roof. Shouldn't be a problem. Anywhere the mist from the spray gun couldn't get, you wouldn't be able to see anyway.

painted my rollbar, and about 5 of my friends, before we welded it in the car. All weld areas were clean, we welded the tops of the rear bars to the hoop, cleaned the welds, and then painted, positioned and welded. Easy enough. I used spray can, Krylon, with their primer for all 6 bar sets. Mine is actually the most abused and after a year, I have a series of chips running down the drivers main hoop bar = I stopped using my seatbelt (removed it) and only use the cam-lock harness so it gets beat a lot. Theres some pics in my link.
Good luck.
