List of parts all 4l80e rebuild kits should include?
Looking to have a consensus on what any full rebuild 4l80e rebuild kit should include.
Example: I'm rebuilding a 4l80e and I want to find an all inclusive rebuild kit.
Should it include a rear band? Should it include bushings other than front and rear case bushings? Should they all include the center support bolt and 4th clutch bolt? Should they include any torrington bearings? Selective thrust washers?
Reason for asking is I see a lot of different kits. A lot of them seem like they might be refresh kits.
Everyone knows that if a hard part is worn it will not be in the kit, but I'd like there to be a thread on LS1tech.com that discusses what the typical rebuild should include.

Well, I'm not looking for links. I don't care about who is selling a kit. I don't even care who made the parts. I just want to know what parts are needed.

Master Rebuild Kit with steels. (Most come with a new center support bolts and new bonded pistons).
Both bands.
Full set of bushings and thrust washers.
New shift solenoids, TCC sol, internal wiring harness, and pressure switch.
filter
low roller clutch
sprag 34 element
Overdrive roller clutch
boost valve
We also add a torrington bearing for the output to case, an extra clutch for the direct, and a HD snap ring for the intermediate pressure plate.

So are 100% of the items you named required for 100% of rebuilds?
I don't mean the transmissions you sell, I mean the average Joe in his garage on the proverbial budget.

Low roller clutch is usually beat up, boost valve is a wear point, we don't know the history of contaminants in the unit so ALL friction elements including bands get replaced.
Unless it's a very new unit, all the electrical is suspect and the harness is usually brittle.
You get what you pay for, even when building yourself.
