Default rollbar questions

I have an 00 vert, looking to install a rollbar soon. Question is, what would i have to put in to make it NHRA legal? Looking at the 4 pt wolfe weld in bar, just looks cleaner imo. Am I required to have a 6pt or anything addition with being a convertible? Planning on taking my car to the track eventually and dont want to screw myself over. Thanks.

It depends on how fast your car is. What do you want it to be able to legally run in the 1/4 mile?

all depends on how fast you want to go,,, Best advice I can give you is this,, buy the wolfe 6pt, I installed my weld in myself, and it fit fantastic, Pay the extra and get the notched ends, makes life so much easier. Get a 6pt. with removable door bars, that way you can put the door bars in when you run at the track, and leave them out on the street, this is the setup I have, and it works great for a street strip car.
Put up a few pics so you can get an idea of what I am talking about.
I have also heard of guys making the rear crossbar removable so you can carry passengers, I dont know if its legal though, I dont care for passengers in the rear of my car, thats why I took those seats out.
Hope this helps you figure which way to go..

you need a legal 6 point roll bar to run 11.50 and faster in a full body car.you mite need a 8 point cage for a convertable.check the nhra rule book for specs.
