Default daily street driven nova

looking to go with the best motor for it since the car is setup to handle good, but hold it down at the strip also.

Im thinking on a 6.0, but wondering the best combo I got 2,500 to spend on it.

Id also say go with a LQ4/LQ9 or a 5.3 might be a little more budget friendly, specially if you go carbed.

If you want handling, an aluminum block 5.7 would be nice as you can save some weight and still make some good power. If budget it more important, then I agree with SIKHS5 that a 5.3 motor would be very budget friendly (the iron block version). LQ4 would be a little more expensive but offers the advantage of the capability for more power than the 5.3.
