Default Wrap seatbelts to match seats

Had an idea to wrap the seatbelts in same suede material as my seats when I recover them.

Has this been done before?

Any pro/cons for having an extra layer of material on the seatbelts?

not sure about this but I would be worried about the new material tearing or getting caught in the roll up mechanism or w.e. u call it. maybe if you just managed to do it in sections across the lap and across the chest. but if you figure something out, post pics and lemme know how you did it. sounds like a cool idea.

i wouldnt think it will work. it will add 2 new layers causing it to not roll up fully.. i would just go with a harness if it means that much to you

Just do a short section over the lap and where your shoulder is. That shouldn't impede too much. You should use the thinnest, strongest stuff you can. What about embroidering a seatbelt?
