Default porting to suit cam size

Hi guys,

I have 241 heads shaved 30 thou, 3 angle grind job and bowls ported/blended.

My cam size is a small 220/224 112lsa with .575 lift.

Is the work on heads sufficient for the cam size or should I port some more, exhaust, intake, etc?

A little porting on the heads can never hurt, both intake and exhaust.

I wouldn't let "just anyone" do it. If you have them hand ported make sure the person has done many LSx heads and (preferably) has some sort of test results to back it up. It is too easy to hack them up or make the ports inconsistent. There are quite a few people that "think" they are capable and really have no clue except that they know they are removing a bunch of material. Your best bet is to get CNC'd heads if you want it done right. There is a lot more to good port design than just making it bigger.
