Default Power steering questions

I've got the factory power steering pump/resevoir off the LQ4 that has 3 ports. 1 threaded I'm assuming its the pressure line or input to rack & the other 2 are tubes that stick out I'm assuming are returns but what do i do with them??? or what are my options?

Last, I've got a 2000ish Cavalier power rack & i was wondering do i have to make it powered? or can i just not run any fluid in it or run a loop to the fittings to make it a getto manual conversion?

Thanks!

read this. I capped the lower of the 2 nipples using a piece of rubber hose with a bolt in it and hose clamps. Crude, but more effective than the original rubber cap I tried (which blew apart after a few miles).
