EVAP purge tick

A buddy called me and asked a question I have never heard. Do the EVAP purge valves sometimes make a ticking noise? I know mine doesn't but is it normal for some to?

normal, just means theyre doing their job, which is to purge...its a solenoid obviously, so your just hearing it switch on and off.

Yes. Like posted above it's a solenoid, solenoids click. Wouldn't worry about it. I've heard some on some cars rattle like a rattlesnake lol.
